Kenya-China Relationship

Today, the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen received H.E Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and Member of the 20th Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party, who is in Kenya for a three day visit. By virtue of his position he is the highest ranking diplomat representing the People's Republic of China. I look forward to deepening and widening our relationship touching on matters of roads and transport.
The Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen led the government’s delegation in a bilateral meeting with a Chinese delegation led by H.E Deng Li, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. Their discussions were centered on pending projects in the roads and transport sector as discussed with H.E President Ruto.The Cabinet Secretary remarked that he is pleased with the outcome of their engagement as they continue to widen and deepen both countries' mutual relations.
