Visiting delegation from Henan Province in the People’s Republic of China

The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Roads and Transport Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, EGH today hosted a delegation from Henan Province in the People’s Republic of China led by Mr.  Ma Jian,Chairman of Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission who was accompanied by Mr. Mu Mu, Division Chief of Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and official representatives of the China Henan International Cooperation Group (Kenya). 

Henan is one of the key industrial provinces in China having developed an exemplary public transport system in the Northern Central region of China. While constructing this modern integrated transport infrastructure, various sectors in Henan such as the agriculture, aviation, and tourism sectors, have developed advanced capabilities and competencies from which Kenya can learn.

The meeting discussed areas of cooperation and collaboration between the two countries such as exploration of possible areas of improving the aviation and tourism sectors, and the development of Green and Digital economies through Public Private Partnerships among others.
